For the next couple of weeks, I am re-releasing some old comics from a few years ago at the rate of one-a-day until July 1st.
1. Kansas. In 2008, I went to Kansas to visit my husband’s family.
2. The Sunflower State. I didn’t know what to expect. It was everything I had expected and more– including a tornado! Stay tuned.
3. What’s in Kansas? Kansas was a complete unknown to me.
4. Tornado Alley. I knew Kansas was famous for tornados, I just didn’t really expect to be in one.
5. Cawker City: Home to the World’s Largest Ball of Sisal Twine. The day started out, um, normally…
6. Rain Tornado. A rain tornado is one you can’t see, because of rain and darkness, until it hits you.
7. Tornado Shelter. The more doors you can put between yourself and the tornado, the better.
8. Tornado in Manhattan Kansas. It destroyed the True Value Hardware store. The K-State campus nuclear reactor wasn’t damaged.
9. Tornado in Chapman, Kansas. Everything you know can change in a matter of minutes.
10. Kansas Flip-flops. I found people from Kansas to be generous, practical and unpretentious.
11. Prairie Cathedrals. Parts of Kansas are so featureless that one often uses non-geographic landmarks for navigation.
12. Toilet Alley. Everyday life can sometimes seem rather dull.
13. Deja Vu. Everyday life can sometimes seem rather dull, without surprises.
14. Driving and Sex. This is my friend Dani’s favorite Encore Seraphine comic.
15. The Pretty Girl. Losing one’s confidence is a horrible feeling.
16. Trickle Down Theory. Ultimately, everything trickles down whether we like it or not.

Great composition! More money for the rich ppl and more work for us
I hope someone or something change this. Excellent work!
Oh yes..that trickle down theory. Love your illustration of it here!
and we all get trickled on.
oh honey, you had a post once a day just like me and you didn’t come to comment, you KNOW google reader ate all my feeds and blogroll went under, i dooooo depend on people commenting on me first, and all your links come up ‘not found’ so i can’t even go back and look
my eyes are trickling down coz i missed your month of posting every day boooo hoooooo
that song is making me happy and sad at the same time, it’s a nice song, and at first made me happy but then slowly a strange sad set in, and got bigger and bigger, so i had to turn the song off as i write this comment, because seeing it in words made me even worse lol i hope you had a good trip, were you really gone for the whole month? that’s a long ass time to be visiting inlaws hahaha i’m sorry i’m so critical of my photography, when i look at the picture now it’s not so bad, it’s quite my style to make bad photos like that, so part of me likes it alot
glad to have you back my lovely xoxoxoox
hehe i’m way past post punk myself
but i listen to Christian pop rock now, usually, sometimes i turn on my slide show and listen to the relaxing music i put on there
never heard of any of the musical peeps you mentioned, but i’m so far out of touch now, July 1st is my 10th anniversary of becoming a Christian, so it was that long ago that i listened to Nirvana lol
i was wondering if you were going to see the pic of my niece
i like that pic too, she turned her head to the side and went ‘hummph’ in mock anger, but that’s not how it looks in the photo does it? she’s so pretty, my little one…. after all these years of listening to Christian pop i know very little about it myself, i recognize alot of the songs and stuff but don’t know who they are by or anything, i don’t go out and buy Christian music on cd, it’s just that it’s nice to listen to, i don’t get sick of the songs for some unknown reason, but mostly i sit in the silence, tho something hums in our house, i think it’s the bathroom fan always on… we have no tv and the Christian radio comes up from seattle and is usually bad reception, so silence it is, but i don’t mind
*snork*
