Great news. My office isn’t going to be closed! I’ve suspected this for several months, especially after we got new computers in January. I’m going to continue taking classes though, because I don’t ever want to feel occupationally vulnerable again.

It’s never so much being occupationally vulnerable as it is feeling economically so. In a world environmentally at risk, where there’s already so much stuff, we should be granted the means to simply live and explore the beauty we hold in common.

Hey Sera, glad to hear the good news. The job situation on this side of the pond is terrible with so many businesses still closing despite an upturn in the economy. Valium and coffee… words every time for me. Oh and a little Viagra, but that’s an entirely different matter altogether!
Your workplace not shutting down is a good thing, but training for new and often better opportunities is a great thing. Keep up the great thing!

the whole employment thing can be so stressful…. glad you feel more secure now. i have this theory that we’re a bit like plants – when we stop growing, we start dying. learning is always good… and lifelong learning makes your brain healthier in your elder years.
