I am working from a new laptop. It’s strange using a smaller screen; everything displays differently. Even the colors are different.
This is also my first attempt at using PhotoShop CS5. I miss the shapes, fonts and brushes that I collected and installed in CS4. I’ll eventually migrate most of them to this laptop.
The sky is changed— and such a change! O’ night
And storm and darkness! Ye are wondrous strong,
Yet lovely in your strength, as is the light
Of a dark eye in woman! Far along,
From peak to peak, the rattling crags among,
Leaps the live thunder.
Poem from Lord Byron, Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage

so you had to pee, drank a beer on top of it, then it was out of order, what does the harsh reality have to do with your new laptop? your brushes are out of order? well at least you’re a customer…. new laptop! fun fun!!
I’ve never read any of Byron’s poems, only his biography.
Changes are rarely better still I’m impressed I’ve barelymade it through CS2
What a quaint coy expression ‘rest room’ is. ‘Comfort station’ is another I’ve come across. It’s an American disease developed by the military I believe. An inability to confront verbal reality. ‘Collateral damage’ and ‘friendly fire’ are two prime examples that spring to mind. Maybe CS5 has an antidote
Technology. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I just redesigned my blog background in PhotoShop CS2!!! Clearly, my place of employments needs to upgrade our equipment. Still, I never knew making snowflakes could be so fun!
How are classes these days?
Good luck with CS5 ; it is worth your persevering…
resistence is futile when it comes to washrooms that are out of order too…
tho you might want to resist with your bladder
It’s difficult to let go of our comfort zone and work in a new environment, but without change there can be no progress…have fun with CS5 Sera:)
oh I forgot to mention: Do you know the difference between a restroom and a cemetery? Lemme know if you wanna know:)
I’m jealous Sera, I couldn;t justify shelling out so much of my hard earned money on Photoshop CS4, let alone it’s new big brother! I’d rather spend my cash on new lenses or battery grips…. I did a naughty and bought a hooky copy of CS4 which worked fine apart from needing new codes every time I used it….So I gave up and bought Elements 8 which still swamps my limited skill level. I wonder if the Photoshop Police are monitoring my words….. arrgghhh!
Yeah, switching computers can be a weird experience.
The cook looks kind of like Kevin Smith. Hilarious punch line. And what’s Mexican Chicken? Don’t settle for that cheap imported chicken, we grow the best chicken in the world here in Georgia!
Oooo. What did you get?
Everything sure looks groovy from my perspective.
Getting a new computer is almost as traumatic as moving to a new place. Nothing is where it’s supposed to be and all the colors are strange.
Hope you adjust soon.
Change is hard. Amazing how attached we are to our computers…
Love how you put this together.
Hmmm, if the pooper is out of order, where does the cook go to inject heroin and smoke crack before cooking your food? Don’t tell me he does it right in the kitchen, that is gross. Can you tell me again what kind of sauce you dribbled on my falafel?
You’re to be congratulated to be constantly working with new technology which always seems to me to be a tad out of order. I used to dread new technology update with hidden glitches and stuff that didn’t quite work properly for the first time and took up precious time before your familiar enough to once again feel at home with it’s continuous use. One needs an unoccupied rest room for such occasions
Best wishes
You’re brilliant on any size laptop Seraphine (that could go for a dancer I once met too…but that’s another story).
Seraphine: I found two comments you sent me in my Spam box for some reason, then lost them when I tried to mark them to return to my Inbox. Mucho apologies. We are still not finished working on my Blog Page issues and I am essentially cut off from everyone unless I receive a comment. lol to you!
Came here through Google.
