We spent a few days in Reno, Nevada. It seems a shabbier version of Las Vegas– a few casinos surrounded by pawn shops, tattoo parlors, wedding chapels and budget motels. Despite the recession, there are some signs of urban renewal. They have a new downtown ballpark and a Triple-A level baseball team. The Riverwalk District, not far from the casinos, offers theaters, restaurants and events like Art and Wine Walks. Reno, which proudly proclaims itself as “The Biggest Little City in the World,” has potential.
I decided to take more classes this fall. I’ll learn to create webpages using HTML and Cascading Style Sheets. Wish me luck.

making webpages is fun, but there’s so much more to learn other than HTML and CSS, i learned HTML a few years back, and made my website from the ground up, i don’t do that nymore lol just cut and paste code into ready made templates
you go grl !!!! love your mummy!!!
that mummy has teeth like pearls
We were in Reno this summer for a conference at the university this summer and we ate awesome Indian food; I think the restaurant was in the district you describe.
Also . . . I love this one. You’re such a genius.
I admire your photo, s to kwaliteid, and the cheerful drawings on plaatst.Deze you again is wonderful
She hasn’t aged well
In the long run we all lose our sexy bits. That’s when it’s good to have a few useful skills hidden in your wrappings.. unless you plan to go the way of the asp, that is.
Hilarious! But I didn’t realize Cleopatra bathed full clothed and wearing Converse All-stars!
I wish you luck, CSS and HTML are like two foreign languages. Very useful though… Can’t say I’m fluent in those but I had to learn how it worked for my blog.
I am leaving in two weeks to the “old country”, where Cleopatras and goat milk are of abundance (or so I wish to visualize it).
As for HTML, there is a decent book written by a woman, a fair overview. Used it successfully but I can’t remember her name. Will get back on you on this one.
LOL!!! You really shattered thet myth Sera!! Inner beauty is reall what it’s all about!! Have a wonderful time:)
yay, no more being divided by zero!! that was an uncomfortable feeling anyway haha… so my husband’s work warehouse is like the hotel california? you can check out any time you like, but you can never leeeave
plenty of room at the hotel california!! love ya sis, can hardly wait to see what kind of web pages you make!!!
where did you find that mummy??
..oops forgot…good luck with going back to school, go for it girl!!!!! I know it is a challenge, but than I think you never are afraid of challenges.
Have a great Sunday.
Didn’t you stop by the Bunny Ranch while you were there?
You’ll be happy to know Cosmic girl that in heaven are books on everything that has ever happened as well as the motivation behind it…no bullshit, the real story…gosh I hope I get access tothese books…;)
my goddaughter was fascinated by Cleopatra, and ancient Egypt in general for years. She’s still one of the world’s great experts (under the age of 15) on the subject. As cultural concepts of beauty are an evolving thing, i suspect Cleopatra was somewhat more curvaceous than what we now consider beautiful. a full figure friend recently dyed her hair very dark and had it bobbed to just above shoulder length in a blunt cut with bangs…. and was transformed in to my mental image of Cleo…. when i told her so, she replied, “Well then, Cleopatra must have really liked her grub!”
Oh..you’re taking a class that I’m considering taking as well. Will be curious to hear how it goes. And – what wild images. WOW!
Maybe Antony didn’t actually succumb to Cleopatra’s legendary beauty as immortalized by Shakespeare or further embellished by Hollywood bearing in mind the plain images on coins. Maybe it was more about her wit, combined with beguiling charm to cunsumate lustful ambitions of an imagined immortal dynasty combined with the ability to fluently speak 8 languages which sowed the seed that captivated Antony. So you’re learning a new language as well – HTML- I’m sure you will soon be a regular HTML whiz kid to boot. Best wishes
i have noooo idea who methusela was, i think the oldest person in the Bible lived to 1100 years, but i could be wrong about that, just heard it the ohter day tho…. i used to have a skeery glow in the dark model of medusa when i was a wee thing, loved crap like that at the time
(I think you’re right about the 900 years and not Elaine’s 1100, from my distant recollection, BTW.)
My guess is you can and will do anything you set out to do, Seraphine, so I wish you all the success in the world. I can hardly wait to see what you end up doing. As long as you can keep doing these comics, I’ll be a happy camper for you! (Astrid made me laugh last night when she told me about making bubbles in the zinc tub!)
i am clueless with html LOL but i love the comic, cleopatra is so overrated LOL
Always improving, going further, good. Laughed a lot at the dialogues in the comic, thks & for your visits t°°, Sera*
Yay for new classes! And I have a love-hate relationship with CSS.
We could swap design secrets! Let’s do it! =)
stop, caution, go, clean, girl, you are so funny, black sabbath lol my head’s hurting from so much humor right when i first get up
Seraphine: How interesting that we were both just recently in Reno! My layover at the airport didn’t afford me much insight. But I was howling at your Ostrich Feather Story! Phew!!!
)
Your humour is so clever ! You crack me up !
LMAO! Enjoy your classes. And thanks for the capsule review of Reno, it sounds like the kind of place I would like to photograph and it never really occurred to me to go there…
