Not everything is fixable. I don’t now which is worse- knowing something can’t be fixed, or knowing it can be fixed and doing nothing about it. Either way, it translates into feelings of uselessness and inadequacy. And why is it so easy to put off important things until tomorrow, when fixing them today would be much less painless.

Procrastination is, hands down, our favorite form of self-sabotage.

Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task.
Quotation from William James

tell me about it, i was procrastinating like crazy, until yesterday when my husband came home with the news that he had been sent home from work, indefinitely, without pay, this gives me the desire to stop procrastinating on trying to earn money.
about doggie dreams, i think they are always gaurding, gaurding against, barking at, chasing away their dream enemies… they take care of us, even in their dreams
love your comic btw made me lol… we won’t be making electricity anymore, this will lower your electric bill by 5% hahahahaaa priceless!!!!
thank you sweetie, yesterday i was FREAKING OUT, all snot and tears, depression and worry, praying like crazy. Today I actually feel better, which I’m sure has to do with only God. But I have a hope that we will get thru this, that i didn’t have yesterday… i wish you lived near me, i could use that hug
well God is a real person, so of course he’s there all the time, unlike italian food…. I can’t even remember the number of times i would have been life or death SCREWED without God. This is one of them. But you’ll see, it will be ok… i have been researching for 2 or 3 weeks how to make money online, and now i found the right place to learn, if you want to know, just ask me, coz i can make a bit of money for your subscription lol…. then we can be work from home cool web chicks
lol that’s not what i’m going to do, i’m just going to be an affiliate marketer… i got nothing else to do
Such a cool cartoon gave me a chuckle, and I think personally with the advances in technology procrastination is advancing equally fats, both individually and with companies, not sure all the advances are improving things
Not making any decision, is a decision…wth it’s coming from all sides, all these solutions that eventually will doom us, one way or the other, I feel your frustration, pour it out on this ‘cosmic strip….I use Rolo’s Ice cream, only increases all the questions and problems, but ahhh how sweet…
I consider a certain degree of procrastination to be an act of kindness – to myself. “Here you go, Beth – you don’t have to do this chore today.” Does this make sense? Of course, a leaky roof or broken furnace demands immediate attention. Sigh.
That pretty much nails the mentality of public utilities.
what did you mean by that old business saw about bringing people to what they want doesn’t work anymore? i know when i go searching for a product, i usually just buy from the place that has the best review/s… am i missing something?
You’ve nailed that in one. First they kill the golden goose and then they run around breaking the eggs.
Yes..I know exactly how procrastination leads to feelings of inadequacy..but sometimes – it’s an act of kindness towards oneself. Excellent – as always!!
Great cartoon and bird. I plan to do something about my procrastination tomorrow, or maybe next week if I don’t get to it tomorrow.
Not procrastinating doesn’t really work either. Once you get through with all the stuff, then more stuff just happens that you have to deal with. Like mail for example. Every time I shred or respond to it on a regular basis, more just comes in. That comic is freakin’ hilarious, and pretty much nails the attitude of all monopolies!
I think we must accept what can’t be fixed and move forward. There is always a way around…
Love it. Only a 5% reduction for receiving nothing! How good is that? And do you know what, I sometimes think that is the way businesses thing of their customers!
LOL! Again, another hilarious strip from you, Sera.
I know a few people who never procrastinate. They amaze me. When I ask them how they do it, they just tell me, “Because it’s easier.”
Sometimes, we just don’t want the easier solution, yes?
You do have a way of hitting the nail on the head, Seraphine!!!
I don’t know what so say about procrastination. in some ways the person lets everything drop, in another version it is a “creative mental brake”. It is the outcome after procrastination that counts, isn’t it?
*puts on a bad Arnold voice* “I am the procrastinator. I’ll be back, later.”
I am my worst enemy when it comes to this. I have gotten very creative though in my attempts at distraction. I would say i have earned a degree out there somewhere for it.
hard times…
sorry hun nevermind, oh well whatever nevermind. lol… i was just willing to share my secret with a couple good friends, but i can tell you don’t want it, so forget i said anything
Procrastination….ahem…I’m guilty of that one:( Thanks for the nudge Sera!!
So true.
As usual, i love the way you look at the world. Nice post by the way.
