I’ve been flying by the seat of my pants. It has been a month since I’ve been told my department will be shutting down in six to twelve months, so time is precious. I’ve decided to take the Series 66 Registered Investment Advisor examination. I don’t know if that’s really what I want to do, but it gives me another option to pursue careerwise. And that means my updates to Encore Seraphine (and my time online) will be less frequent for a few weeks to a month.
Yes, I’m doing this on purpose. I love you all, and thank you for understanding.

I hate sticky pants but even worse are sticky socks. Went house hunting yesterday and here we take our shoes off when we enter someone’s house. Big mistake. They have dogs. Not house trained. Big dogs. And they are not big on cleanliness in that house.
Taking some control over your future will help – too much flying by the seat of your pants tends to be stressful.
Best of luck – although I doubt luck is necessary. I suspect you’ll be successful at anything you put your mind to.

Series 66? Does that mean you’ve already studied 65 preceding courses?

You will pass the 66 with flying colors even though your are flying by the seat of your pants. The Series 66 replaced the seperate Series 63 and 65 exams and those were not difficult to pass. If you have your series 7 the 66 will be a breeze. Hurry back soon cause we love you.

You have to do what is right for you, Seraphine. I remember when I had to make blogging decisions to lessen my time at the computer. It was hard but eventually paid off. I wish you the best in whatever direction your life takes you. The thing is, you can only do your part of the dance…and let the Universe surprise you with its!

The Series 66 RIA license is a great thing to have. I took it years ago when I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. I eventually did nothing with it, but at least it was there as a backup.
