Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

i have the same thoughts seraphine. but they are still vague. i guess that is because i still am half-hearted if i should chase it or not.
I’d rather my future plans not be “dark and impenetrable as night”– at least not to me!

I’m amazed by that quote from Steve Jobs. The impression I have is of a man who follows his head 100%.

It would appear that Steve Jobs had been reading the Bhagavad Gita before writing that speech – the part where Krishna told Arjuna he must slay his family on the battlefield because it is his nature to be a warrior and they are already dead.
All that matters is that we are here now and we are clear about how ‘here now’ works. For me ‘being here now’ is a full-life-job but I too would like a seat at that cafe.
I think a person with your original talent owes it to herself to publish a book. When can I get my copy?

if we were the MAGIC mushrooms of the world now that would garner some respect, then we could make people happy and totally oblivious to being bunnies in bondage… and i agree, i eat truffles at every opportunity, me, bon bons, couch, that’s all i need…
I plan on retiring this year, so I am looking forward to sitting in a cafe drinking coffee and reading a photography magazine and then venturing out to take some photos. Follow your dreams but in the real world you also have to follow where the money is too. I’m sure with your abilities you will have no problems following both.

For me, the very fact that the innevitability of my death grows closer each passing day, gives me all the more reason to enjoy every second of my short time on this beautiful planet. Amongst the sadness of loss, pain and tears I do my utmost to live life to the full, savour the happiness and beauty of Mother nature and live a life with as few regrets as I can. I’d hate to be immortal, because then perhaps I would not truly appreciate the wonder of the world in which I live.

That’s why I travel – to reclaim my freedom. I don’t mind slaving for a while, even better doign what I like, but traveling is the absolute freedom. It’s very addictive too.
