I used to love red licorice after my friend Marcella told me red licorice makes your boobs grow.
Everyone knows you can’t see death cooties. Take my word for it, that couch has the biggest, fattest death cooties that ever existed.
Quotation from Janet Evanovich
I hope people realise that there is a brain underneath the hair and a heart underneath the boobs.
Quotation from Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton has a funny sense of humor!
I rather like another of Evanovich’s remarks, “Only men you can count on these days are Ben and Jerry!”….. so true
British troops used to call the trench lice, cooties as well. I believe I once dated the person in the photograph, Sera. Did the red licorice trick work…naturally I am curious on purely a scientific level… ha ha
Red licorice! I love red licorice!
no wonder i don’t have big boobies, i ate every other color of licorice whip!!! I never had informative friends like yours tho, i had friends that told me stuff like the ‘big chief no fart’ joke, ever hear that one, it’s about an indian chief called ‘big chief no fart’ coz he couldn’t fart, it’s a very long joke, i’ll just say he travels far and wide looking for a cure but it’s always ‘big chief no fart’ at the end of each misadventure, then one day some witch doctor gave him the mightiest of all juju and he was ‘big fart no chief’ hehe
Sorry!! Cannot see brain or heart at first sight
… Doesn’t mean would be able see in second sight.
Btw I liked that ‘scratch my back post’.
What a fantastic opening image. Love the way you created this!!!
Oh i got it now, that pink color in my baby bottles from birth to age 3 was not grenadine ! Thank you, Mum
)))
Nicely bizarre mirror image Sera.
Take my word for it the ones in the pubes are the worst. Cooties that is :0
You’ve four legs!
Like the donkey?
But he never will climb so perfectly!
1.) I love Nerds. With or without glasses. And they’re tasty. Remember the candy?
2.) Red licorice, cooties and boobs? Only you, Sera. Only you. =)
3.) I LOVE Dolly’s quote, although I could never use it as I have no boobs.
4.) Have a fabby, fine day!!! *Fabby* Not flabby.
XO
Red licorice and Dolly, boy you’re on a roll girl !!!!
“brilliant image!!! and yum yum to licquroise too!!!
Hey, I love red licorice and boobs :~)
I tried out for the Cirque du Soleil once but my only skill was to stand with my mouth hanging open. They didn’t even care that I could hold a strip of red licorice at the same time.
The photo is quite weird and very cool. I’m not so sure about the licorice though.
Girl cooties are the best ones.
red brain ?
Bien à toi !
OMgosh! I read that whole strip as : Girl Scout Cookies! Ha! Is there something wrong with me?
Cooties (another word for “lice) engendered a mild panic attack amongst parents when our girls went to school which proved to be surprisingly difficult to eradicate. But today I think the little bloodsuckers have developed immunity to the chemicals in hair washes – like our flies which seem to thrive on repellant. But I don’t think there are any flies on Dolly Parton who is a smart businesswoman beneath her heady head of hair.
Best wishes
I am beginning to feel that coming to you blog is like getting into a girl’s mind. Quite an insight, eh!!
yeah i’m KILLING my site again lol, surprised you got a comment thru… and that guitar doesn’t get played so yes it’s dusty, that’s why i bought my husband the electric guitar for Christmas, because i thought it would make him play again, i think they will both gather dust now!
dang!!!! i’m going to lose your two comments when he does a restore of my site!!!! arg!!!! we used to go to karaoke bars when i could still sing lol and there was a deaf guy that would go and sing, if you could call it that, he could hear the beat from the vibration, and could see when the words changed, but beyond that yes, i imagine he dreams in silence lol yes indeedy
imagine if you will, his version of ‘american pie’
…things I wish had know long ago.
Ah well…a good red licorice whip never hurt anyone, at least I don’t think so
to stephanie
i can’t leave a comment on your blog, so in the chance that you read this, i am having a problem with blogspot. there are a couple of other blogs i can’t answer too. it’s frustrating.
but i love the photo of our mother, in that little pillbox hat. i’m happy you are reuniting with your father’s side of the family, even if you are ‘different’ in some ways. being able to connect the parts of yourself is worth everything.
very nice artwork and commentary from the art. so creative! =]
LOL at Elaine’s “big chief no fart” joke. HAHAHA! Some of us grew up always hearing about cooties. It was a big word in my youth a long tiome ago. Is it fashionable again, I wonder? I absolutely love how you weave your images and texts and quotes together, Sera. You’re a genius!
Four legs? Waoh!…
Your friend Marcella had a good idea! Red licorice is very good!…
I liked cherry licorice when I was younger, but … licorice just doesn’t excite me anymore. Kind of repulsive stuff, actually. The worst was some salty black swdish licorice I had – I am sure it is an acquired taste.
Awesome image!
I used to think blowing on them 20x each would make them grow.
Always hard to compete for the donkey!
no translation for “cooties” ! but no translation too for the photograph !! Sera is funny !
))
Yummmy!! Love red licorice!
another fav Dolly quote…. during a dolly special, getting her hair on, etc…. she turns to the camera and says, “honey, you wouldn’t believe how much it costs to look cheap!”
and i lovelovelove janet evanovich!!!!! she’s as good as agatha chrisite. and i lovelovelove aggie.
and that’s not cooties…. that’s coutoure!
Pretty cool image… and confusing too.
I love the Donna Parton quote
I stared at the top image for two minutes, confused and yet intrigued.
