This really happened to me. I won’t mention the name of the pharmacy, but it rhymes with Fright-Aid. The pharmacist said the best way to avoid getting the flu is “don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.” I’ll assume I can still use my mouth for eating as long as I wash my hands beforehand?
So the C.D.C. says 50 million [Americans] have been infected so far. Another 50 million have been vaccinated. And maybe 20 million have got innate immunity because of their age. You do the math — that’s 120 million who are immune out of 320 million, so two-thirds of the population is still not immune. It’s amazing how many people are acting as if this is all wrapped up. The numbers could still go up dramatically.

nice post flu apocolyptic setting you have going on, well at least sera still lives and her beauty is untouched
i want a room like that too, i had it for a very short time with my first husband, who i was married to for about 2 minutes… i’m depressed, my photoblog is screwing up, i lost your beautiful comment from yesterday, i’m thinking about changing hosts, but God i hoped i would never have to do that again… as far a the swine flu vaccine goes, today is a good day to die
If you find that you have a strong desire for a mud bath, get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids.
I went to a spa (ages ago) for a mud bath and as I sat there realized that there was no way they could change the mud for each person. I was horrified, but it was too late, I was neck deep in mud and naked. Plus it smells horrid (sulfur?), is impossible to wash off, and the smell clings for days. Never again. Also, if you want to email me so we don’t keep commenting back and forth, my email address is on my blog. (Here, too! I just realized.) Or we can comment back and forth.
That was so statistics I say!! very scary! and I go with Elaine on the vaccination .
Thanks for visiting my blog
I guess we oldsters are the ones most immune, Sera?! Before I left the States, all I could get was the regular flu shot and my younger doctor told me that was all I really needed anyway. So far so good. I do hope it DOES get wrapped up real soon! Stay healthy!
thanks sweetie, you make me feel better, i get so upset at such things, there’s no stress like tech stress!!!
it was the great joke in France too !
In the US, the reported “swine flu” fatalities still don’t exceed 3 weeks of traffic fatalities. That means shaking somebody else’s hand is still less dangerous than being in traffic.
If you’re not in one of the “high-risk” groups (i.e. have some illness already or are pregnant), expect to just get a harmless flu from that virus.
Have I not taught you anything lovely girl? At that moment in time you should have sneezed right then and there and asked for a pen or something that belonged to them. *smiles*
lurve ya

Every year there’s a new flu out, and people die from that flu and vaccines help some and don’t help others, it’s really just a matter of when it’s your time to go….I have never had a flue shot, I have a bad flu right now, don’t know why I hadn’t had one in over 10 years…go figure…everybody dies, just a matter of when, you have to weigh things I’d rather die of flu than die of hmmm Ebola virus, see I’m ahead!
Stay well
I heard the same story .. in France….
world … story
Bien à toi !
Don’t get the vaccine, it contains the bug :0 All part of the plan !
Sera unless you are in an at risk bracket, very young or old, in my opinion it’s a better bet to omit the vaccine and let your immune system build up resistance to flu strains naturally. Nice selection of torsos by the way.
Ps I have clouds from a different point of view fro you today
Nice torsos, did you make them?
You beat me with the “swine-flu-saga”, a total failure to infuse (no, not vaccines) but fear into the masses.
Now that I have chicken-flue, swine-flue, bull-flue, sheep-cold, mice-paranoia, crow-allergy, and many other animal related diseases, I surely must be a dead man walking.
Talking about dead, I have a freaking deadline (I really hate that word) to finish my print (mostly due to you, stabbing me into my already sore ribs) but I thank you for that! Next time kick my ass, I still have a few inches left of muscles and fat, it will hurt less.
All right, back to work. I had it with oil-based ink, I am now going back to waterbased….
Hey, get your shot for any swine, and live with it.
Later, love, Lukas
jaja
This flu raises many thoughts and a few scandals in France so our dear president hypochondriac had planned to cover 130% of the population (94 million in vaccines for 65 million inhabitants) is 5 million people have been vaccinated. . And our minister of health has been injected before television journalists from the water instead of the vaccine …
That’s all for today, where I’ll find a way to smile?
I hate the flu, especially now that I have it
I was just about to say that. I don’t ever get the vaccine for these things. The current flu is way over exaggerated anyway. Its just yet another nasty flu to come at us probably do to our tampering with the natural processes and forcing the flu to mutate. As it is most flu vaccines are pretty much useless to your long term health. Better to take the hit and get through it. Makes you stronger.
This is the best edito I have seen about the flu!
The donkey tries to continue to avoid to get it!
Let me take my hand off of my eye, mouth and nose and get that straight… no, never mind.
what a crock it all is… I’m glad you couldn’t get it. read this:

i am glad you did not get it .
Please, listen to this :

It sounds scary . First time this year I did not WANT to get a shot after getting an email with this link .
There are all sorts of ideas about vaccinating our kids, our pets and ourselves. I get the seasonal flu vaccine each year and I got the H1N1 shot in addition this year. Maybe, I’m just healthy but I haven’t had the flu in decades.
Some people (by that i mean ME) live so much under the influence. Sometimes its hard to understand if the media is trying to scare us or it it really that scary! I am thinking, if it was a deadly disease, I would already be dead by now
I will still take a shot because I don’t like to fall sick. And I don’t have any instrument to measure my immunity to see if its strong enough to fight this disease.
That is scary… I saw Mariana’s video. Quite to plan to reduce the world population. Mysteries of pharmacy world.
“Every search for a hero must begin with something which every hero requires, a villain. ” Ever Swam MI II.
They still say the swine flu is less deadly than the regular flu… Cool pic
Ah well, once a year on new year’s eve I kiss Crow. So far so good
oh noooooo, how badly did it die? you have come back from the dead? i’m so sorry you are so tired, tech stress!!! coco would looooove to come and snuggle buggle with you, but she hates to fly
you go get some sleep and feel better babe, mkay?
Great work and scary message
I hope you are all well, i am
Happy New Year!!
I don’t like needles so I didn’t get the flu shot.
If you happen to get pig cooties, I’ll be sure to send you some Campbell’s Soup and Kleenex.
Random fact: I’ve never got a flu shot of any kind–ever, and I’m still kicking. But then, I don’t travel as much as you either…
Solution: Hand sanitizer and an ever-burning incense stick – to ward off germy spirits, naturally.

The comic is very funny! Have you thought of submitting it to a newspaper or syndication ? I am sure it would have a wide appeal. Thank you for the smile!
As much as possible, I avoid injecting foreign proteins into my bloodstream.
