i have an elephant story.... not pink.

didn't like kids at all till i had mine. the first wasn't planned, but i fell in love with him at first sight, and was lost forever. i'll never again hear a child cry without feeling an ache in my heart. now i teach kids to play the violin, and love it. go figure.

I stay away from elephants. They look meek and mild-mannered, but it is pure deception. I'm sticking with alligators and making alligator sounds. much safer.

Dig the pink elephant story :-) great pic, but as far as a child's cry, the not ear-piercing scream is just for the parents... for me any baby screaming gets ear-piercing fairly fast... :-)

Sera: One of the few times when the Converse basketball shoes are absent. A special occasion, no doubt with Holiday parties to attend etc.! :D) I see kids crying because they are tire and need a nap. Also, many parents in shopping malls don't understand that when a kid is 3 feet tall, their arm goes numb holding their parents hand. The next thing you hear is a swat on the butt and crying. The better times, though, are when an ice cream cone solves a cry and life is good! lol to U!

About baby cry... when my friend had her baby, I was surprised to see that the cries aren't loud, which isn't surprising considering how tiny newborns are.

Ya i do believe pink elephants are a myth for alcohol but mushrooms on the other hand could give you as many pink elephants as you care to talk to.

I guess i am not up on baby's crying 'cause i don't equate them with elephants, just something i really want to get as much distance as possible from.

I gather any celebrity interviewing a pink elephant might will have to put up with bad breath but the real ones are very touchy about their trunks which are senstive enough to pick up a peanut or two. A trumpeting elephant might sound like the crying infant ? but I think elephants more sensibly form caring groups were momma has aunt’s siblings and other juveniles to call on for help- comforting crying children was never easy- especially when it all boils down to one person.
Best wishes

At this point in my life, it's a sound to be avoided altogether. Sorry, Dr. Sears. :-)

My youngest didn't sound like an elephant. It was more like a tropical bird. The oldest still sounds sort of like a donkey, which is cute as a baby - not so much as a teen. Ah, well. Good thing she's cute.
