I’m on my way out, she said,
like she was picking up keys
after finishing the grocery list
and buttoning her coat
before quietly closing
the door after her.

Oh, I’m sorry about Aunt Lucille. Damn that.
this character makes me think of a carnation gone to seed…. Barbie marinated in hormones…. the homecoming queen 20 years after…. a poem by Robert Service called “my madonna” (? i think?)
been catching up…. but way past my bedtime now. great stuff as always, sera
Yesterday I found a long whisker and wondered how many had noticed.. or will they remember my laugh?
We never know how much time we have. All we can hope is that we’ll be brave and kind and ready when the time comes. That’s a lot to hope for.
I woke up this morning thinking that I understood English!
Then opening the page from Seraphine I knew
That I should copy, translate, restore order to understand words …
Being bilingual will be tomorrow! (as always excellent!)
Seraphine Good day!
Frightening ! Is it a nightmare ?
very sorry about aunt Lucille
a combination of photographs and a good comic. Appeared harmonious communication between the image and comic. A great creativity.
People who have nothing with their fully-guaranteed bodies and minds, are lucky people. It’s not distributed equally. BTW I often dream of sitting in bus or train and having forgotten to buy a ticket
. What reason could that have?
wow.very beautiful.it must be the new character in your works
well done
If your poem reflects your aunt’s acceptance of such awful news, God bless her. Well, God bless her no matter what…
(As for the drooping eyelid, why is it always only the one?)
My you have been busy while I’ve been away. Like the new format
After the comic (which is wonderful), I stopped dead in my tracks with your poem to Aunt Lucille. OMG! That is powerful….
and then, we girls put some make-up on and we look great again
) Poem is fantastic
)
such a great thing i found your page. nice comics , i love it.
right, Another One of Life’s Shining Moments.
nice day seraphine!!!
Sorry for Aunt Lucille… Stay connected with her..
“I’m on my way out” That’s a woman who knows what its about. What sucks is you get it only after you have lived a good while. I wish i had understood when i was young. That would have changed my entire life.
Nice poem by the way. Filled with emotion.
My first thought was that of a Paris Hilton wardrobe failure. But reading on, was so sorry to learn about your Aunt Lucille, Sera. Love and (((HUGS)))) to you!
Michael
Well, i confess I don’t know quite what to make of your blogsite….but I will keep watching so that I can catch up…and catch on.
The words written for your Aunt Lucille were so poignant and moving..brave and honest of you to write about her in such a straight forward manner. You do us ALL a service!
Your character tonight makes me smile! Great work on this and major bummer about the right eyelid!
Sorry to hear about your Aunt Lucille. Give her lots of love and tell her to fight!
Funny stuff! Sorry to hear about your aunt.
i love the red sequins mask and the hair of the charater!
feels sorry about your aunt
I’m sorry to hear about Aunt Lucille; on the other hand, be glad for her that she is able to be so calm. Mythoughts are with you both.
Hope Lucille does as well as possible. Tough situation. Thanks.
I read this one after reading your post about your Aunt Lucille dying. My uncle was recently diagnosed with incurable brain cancer. His journey hasn’t been long enough, but perhaps it really has…
