Fashion Faux Pas – The Muumuu

It was Al Bundy on the television show Married With Children that ruined it. He burned into the American consciousness the impression that only fat women wear muumuus. In reality, the muumuu is comfortable to wear in hot weather because it hangs loosely from the shoulders, much like the roomy Hawaiian shirt for men.
I don't want to look like a weirdo. I'll just go with a muumuu.

Hahahaaa! But honestly, in my country you see them very seldom because they are associated with our former colony Surinam. “Cotto missies” wear those dresses, and no Dutch woman wants to ook like them. But I as a man find these robes beautiful because they protect our view from shapes we don’t like to see.
BTW I almost forgot: thanks you for your comment on my Dutch blog-article. Did you google a translation or do you know Dutch, because your remark made very much sense in relation to the content. I fully agree. Live and let live.
My version of the mumu is the boxer shorts cuz it’s airy and lets everything hang loose.
