Do you feel like trying something dangerous “until it scares me?” Whether it’s roller coasters, mountain climbing or walking alone at night, we believe we can debark, return from the path we have taken and turn the key to our homes, safe and magically invulnerable. We think “It won’t happen to me.”
It is no more common for vampires to be psychopaths or killers than it is for any random person on the street. However, a prolonged, or very involved, relationship with a vampire can put a severe strain on the emotional and psychic energy systems of an ordinary person.
Quotation from Inanna Arthen, Real Vampires (EarthSpirit.com)

Quote from my wife about a dangerous journey we undertook to a remote Island in the Pacific
“At last we’re here, rested and expectant, beneath the lanky coconut trees clustered along the foreshore. The offshore breeze, caressing our faces and playing tag with the palms, heralds the reposing sun. Magenta, crimson, orange and lavender downy clouds fashion its bedding. I am not disappointed. My reluctance fades with the sunset. The journey to this land of endless summer is worth the taking. Once in a lifetime one should step out of life’s rut and experience something different. This is my season.” Best wishes
Seraphine, my English is not good enough to enjoy your blog, I doubt that you are excellent in the art of drawing and writing and your words are humorous and funny.
I love some of them(your drawing)
this is one of them
carry on girl
I’d go for something more stimulating
Vampires are so draining
I’ve had my share of fears, so I don’t think so…but I love this here.
ps I saw once in a lake a few minutes from my home, a vampire, as white as marble approach me slowly, hypnotically, and i tried to run but i couldn’t…even as I woke I still saw him approach…I wish he had looked a little more like David Boreanaz
I believe in everything
) Vampires are everywhere around us, in all different shapes and forms ..Dont you agree with me ….??
Your art is fantastic !
Hmmm..Of course I think of Steve McQueen, who “pushed the envelope” far in his personal life and on-screen. At the end of his life he said, “I may not be around much longer as an Actor. I’m really into living life. When you have heat on you all the time, it limits your personal growth. My concept of life up to this point was at speed. But I’m really into living now”. Interesting…you reminded me of this, Sera. And yes, your art is fantastic as Mariana said…and so are you!
As a teenager, I obsessed over vampyres. As in adult, not so much. But emotional vampyres…well, they’re everywhere. always.
That being said, this topic of living dangerously is something I think of often. And the safety of objects…
With that, thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope this finds you well.
Gary Oldman might have tempted me to the twilight side but Nosferatu would find me wearing a silver crucifix in a bed garlanded with elephant garlic. The fictional ones are so much more titillating than the pranja suckers we try to avoid.
who’s been watching True Blood then?
I’ve always wanted to get abducted by aliens, but on my terms. They can let me fly the saucer, thank you.
I put aside the illusion of being invulnerable many, many years ago – although doing so does take some of the fun and adventure out of life.
And I’m hoping I’d recognize a vampire before it’s too late…
According to someone in my life, the vampire thrill is in being ‘taken completely’, meaning the bite and the blood is pretty hot along with the rest.
Personally, I like the capes and the hair gel from the good old days.
I sometimes try dangerous or scary stuffs just to taste the adrenaline rush.
