I love Canadians. Not only do they use blubber to keep warm, but their national cocktail is the Bloody Caesar. It’s like a Bloody Mary, except they use Mott’s Clamato instead of tomato juice. And they garnish it with a pickle. (I’ll wait to try the vegetarian version.)
Of a lady come from Cape Cod she remarked: “She ate so many clams that her stomach rose and fell with the tide.”
Quotation from Louis Kronenberger

I understand from this that Canadians have developed some bizarre tastes during my long absence. Maybe I’ll have to return with some Margarita mix and set them straight.
Wonderful work on this and excellent humor!! it made me laugh and gave me a good smile!!
Ah, mixology and humor! I took a bartending class not once but twice. The instructor was good. He said he was a professional mixologist. Somehow, that doesn’t sound like a good line to start a conversation. The stories behind the drinks were more fun than the class!

I’ve never heard of Clamato
LOL i wonder what clamato looks like
You are too good, wow wonderful stuff, very creative
but I love clams, just not in a drink, gross
Ps I hate that drink, if I have to drink, I’d prefer a Strawberry Margarita
I thinks its early enough for a Bloody Mary.
Huh? Have only seen celery stalks garnishing Bloody Caesars (which I don’t drink) in Canada and the only blubber I use to keep warm is my own!
What do you mean, “vegetarian version” – ???
I think I am due for a nap.
It’s the booze content we are talking about, either tasteful, or not so yummy. But it is the alcohol content that verifies sanity or disengagement. No matter how you turn it, taste is a start but knock out is the goal.
Cheers my dear!
(OH shit, I shouldn’t have said this, it’s embarrassing)
OK, I will take my nap now and come back later.
That blubber comment reminded me of the stand up act Jim Carry did a long time ago where he made fun of how we see Canadians. He went way over board of course but that was the point. If you can find it on youtube you should check it out. His whole act was funny but i remember that part of it clearly all these years later.
That clamato
sounds like
one hot potato
I don’t know what it is, but for sure it must be good

Kisses Sera!
I haven’t seen any commercials for it this summer (crappy summer, must be why), but a few of them were hilarious.
I feel loved, as a Canadian
