I had a dilemma at my brother’s wedding – the Mom and his mother-in-law, and his aunt-in-law (MIL’s sister) ALL LOOK ALIKE ENOUGH TO BE SISTERS. And his aunt-in-law’s tag was out, and she was wearing a dress similar to the Mom’s, and I kept walking over to her to fix it, only to realize a split second before the reach that she wasn’t the Mom, so I kept having to make up stuff as to why I was approaching her: “Do you have enough to drink?” “They’ve put out more antipasto …” “I wanted to know if there’s a song you’d like me to have the band cover for you.”

There was an older woman who got out of her car at a mall parking lot who was nicely dressed but for the fact she’d somehow tucked the back of her dress into the top of her pantyhose. My husband went the other way to meet me inside while I stopped the woman and told her. Does that count?

No, I only stop strangers on the street when they’re being mean to their children or pets… or if I want to ask where the nearest good place to eat is.

With a friend, I might draw every other friends’ attention to it for a while first…then I might also tell them that they need to ‘clean around their nose’ – just for fun. But my friends are quirky.
