Instead of closing prisons, California is closing schools. Rather than adjusting over-compensation and trimming bureaucracy, California is cutting essential services and raising taxes. Instead of trimming fat, the economic muscle of California is being removed. Don’t be surprised when California registers itself as a bank and applies for federal assistance.

Tried to comment yesterday. No Luck.
Glad it’s fixed today
But what to say
Have to agree
to some degree
Canada would be nice.
Canada has its flaws but somehow we’re weathering these bad times fairly well. I’m grateful.
(Don’t think we’re in the market for adoption, though…)
I love when I talk to a Canadian and he says, “Sorry about your dollar, eh.”
That’s what comes of more years than i care to count under Democratic leadership. This state has been gutted and left for dead by the failed policies of the Democratic party. Didn’t you know this state is a Democratic paradise? Can’t wait to see what they do to the country as a whole in the next 4 years. I love the first big move our wonderful president has made in office. Trying to remove coverage for vets. “Ya thanks for your sacrifice, now fuck off!”
Well, maybe California should stop granting so many things to illegal immigrants. How many millions of dollars a year in medical, welfare, etc. does that cost the state?
cuts to education & essential services…… taxes up…. deja vu! that was Alberta under premier Ralph Klein. the conservatives claim this got the province out of debt, but the damage to the educational system and health care will take decades to repair…. and it was all happening at a time when the oil companies operating in the province showed year after year of record profits, and the economy was very strong. some say a monkey with no understanding of economics or governance could have done as well…. wait a minute…. that’s a pretty good description of Klein…… maybe Arnie S is a 4th cousin twice removed…..?
It’s very sad. Here at ASU they cut theie budget by 55%. It is imbecilic! ;>
Ooops… that’s not very California Dreamin’.
Although pot holes are not that bad. We live with pot holes in Canada 6 months out of ten.
