Good news/Bad news: Scientists in Australia have discovered a Spider-Killer Wasp. They capture and paralyze spiders, which are then eaten alive by the wasps’ larvae. The bad news is… they are wasps.
Crustacean invasion: Beware the green crab (Juneau Empire)
Oh, sick I am to see you, will you never let me be?
You may be good for something but you are not good for me.
Poem by A. E. Housman, A Shropshire Lad

Best have your eustachian tubes checked as well – you never know…
(love the Housman poem)
*waves back* Howdy. It is fun
Love the poem. I feel that way about a few people i know.
I wonder if those crabs are tasty. With 200,000 babies in a cycle you can have quite a feast from the steam pot. They are small though. Might be tough eating.
How funny we still are discovering new creatures even today. Nature adapts.
Here is hoping they don’t take over the world … last weeks swine is a new weeks wasp!
Yuck. Anything weird is always in Australia…
It’s best to check your shell fish regularly.
and speaking of weird things in Australia.. . but the poor things had nowhere else to go.
Seraphine: It’s always good to get a check up. That said, what about a Seraphine Festival of sorts? Rather vague, I know. But I hope it makes you think of something cool to look forward to (I’m dangerous with ideas!)…:D)
Very cool as usual.
i’ve had my crustaceans tied for years. didn’t check for barnacles though…..
Than God/dess it’s not crabs. Nothing nips quite like them
It seems so cruel for me….hehe
I am startled by everything these days, your present post, the comment on my blog you left, the chives going into bloom, the transportation fiasco in the US. Shall I name a few more? No, you wouldn’t like that…
