Bathrooms are safe havens, like embassies. They should be treated as “native soil” for anyone seeking peace and a sense of place. They are a place of refuge. No trespassing!
What the Pakistani People Would Tell Obama (LA Times)
There’s been a view that the U.S. is willing to sacrifice Pakistan’s democracy to preserve its own.
Quotation from Fasi Zaka

Public bathrooms do not qualify as places of refuge.
And now that I think about it, I suspect satellites can see anywhere!
Lol! That last frame is too funny. I can just imagine the drone hovering above the ground taking that picture.
Well, if the govt’s are that paranoid to want to spy on us in our bathrooms … I say give them a real flashy show!!!
I really don’t know….
Kisses and hugs girl!
I think if you’re gonna drop bombs on people you should at least be man (or woman) enough to do it from a hot air balloon so you can see the result.
A good point to make Sera …… and yes Susan I agree.
Paranoia may tell one to close the door, but infrared detecting satellites and related systems find many different ways to peek. The policy of continued escalation of strike drones in the Pakistani tribal regions and now to be extended into other areas is also increasingly killing many more innocent civilians. How on earth can you build any local community bridges when so many are innocents are killed from actions initialed from a remote computer control centre in the US. As more and more innocents are killed you fuel the fire that inevitably leads to radicalism and extremism and undermine any genuine efforts and programs designed to build willing partners in Pakistan.
Best wishes
I agree. That’s what I can’t stand people who try to continue the conversation when I’m in the bathroom – leave me alone!!!
that is one thing i really like about my new college – the cleanest toilets ever.
the one unshakable rule my kids learned as they were growing up was, mum is not available when she’s in the bathroom…. unless someone is bleeding or unconscious. i had a floor to ceiling bookshelf in there, as it was the one place i could read uninterrupted. for a while, when they were small, it was the only place i could read AT ALL.
Isn’t it interesting how certain people use the interior designing flair for the bathroom? You visit there place and have to use the Loo. Turns out, it has most of the amenities of a garage apartment! And guests in the other room wonder why you’re gone so long!

Ooops: make that “their place” (my high school English Teacher would have a heart attack if I didn’t move to correct this! :>
One of the best places for me to relax is my bath tub!
