You know whats really funny though is i bet if we elected pretty faces instead of our politicians there would be absolutely no change in how this country runs. Its not like the politicians here are any smarter. Hell it may even be better since they haven’t come up through the rotten corruption that is our political system.

One of my favorite politicians has always been Cicciolina , a porn star who became a member of the Italian parliament in 1987. She was pretty cool. You’d be cool as a judge on AI but you’d have to tell me about it because I don’t watch tv.

At least Italy has its heavily subsidized grand opera to provide splendid entertainment and relief for its citizenry away from the only ‘partly free” media echoing ever deepening echelons of political power. Business is far more powerful than politics, but when both are inseparable (as is now the case in Italy) then I think it becomes “funny business” once again. A pretty face as the lyrics say ‘may haunt you day and night’ but that won’t make much difference to the power politics- only in the designed appearance of politics.
