The Syndrome: Never had an oncoming train swerve for me, but I keep hoping
on March 13th, 2009Posted In: Comics
Sometimes I can’t get out of my own way. I keep thinking things will “return to normal” and I’ll get caught up, but things are never normal.
Got in the Way of a Train (New York Times, August 16, 1888)
And you are such a fool to worry like you do
I know it’s tough and you can never get enough
Of what you don’t really need now
My, oh my, you’ve got to get yourself together
You’ve got stuck in a moment and you can’t get out of it
Lyrics from U2, Stuck In A Moment

I don’t like those spiders, trample them.
As we adapt to change we are reminded that nothing is certain except the certain spring. Fate is indeterminable as we experience sorrow and joy, tragedy and triumph, but, ultimately our own unique vitality in a love of life – whatever it brings – transcends life’s rocky mysterious paths.
Best wishes
Sometimes I feel as if I’m making it all up but, then again, I’m just not that imaginative.
Yes, trample the spiders, they’re creepy and I hate spiders.
I know the feeling, when you want to change, but you can’t move, because you waited too long. Habit and routine made their net and it’s hard to break out.
