In Costa Rica, many store mannequins have impossibly big boobs, as compared to mannequins in the United States, which are impossibly thin. It’s intriguing what different cultures consider “ideal” and seductive.

“Beauty is truth, truth beauty.” That is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.
Poem by John Keats, Ode on a Grecian Urn

I’ll take big boobs over rail thin any day.
Ah, John J. Savo, they had a study in Germany a couple of decades ago where they observed the parallel trends between boob size and political climate. Whenever people voted more on the conservative/right side on the spectrum, large boobs gained popularity; left trends created longings for smaller breasts.
Taking this survey into serious consideration, you John must be drifting towards the political right.
As for me, I like ALL boobs. Must mean that I am a political weather-wane…
Well at least i could get a good laugh when looking at the huge boobs on the mannequins. The ones here just look full of themselves
Some impressive tats there.
I don’t know what’s more depressing and just plain wrong – the big boobs or the skinny mannequins? It’s a draw as to which is the more ludicrous.
And neither one entices me to buy clothes.
As the late great Frank Zappa said;
‘Anything over a handful is wasted’
Big boobs now, big droops later! Lol! Says alot about the USA economy really doesn’t it! Well plump ladies used to be the thing in Western Society (think Marilyn Monroe) so even within one culture, it changes every decade or so.
Cultures waxes and wane over time, but the skeleton like frames occasionally seen in models don’t seem to please anyone – but on the other extreme I haven’t heard of anyone complaining about models with big breasts – Try asking any men about ideal shapes and they draw an hourglass – not straight lines –. What do women think? – A growing number also seem to detest the extremes in fashionable shapes. !
I cringe sometimes when I see some very anemic looking models – a reminder of emaciated bodies of genuinely starving and malnourished people in other countries.
Best wishes
I think they’re needed in Costa Rica as flotation devices.
speaking as someone who has a tattoo – that link takes you to a site which has some of the worst tattoos I’ve ever seen. there are a few that are beautiful but most were really ugly
