True or False? When couples have been together for a while, they begin to act and look alike.
(Thanks to Four Yip in Second Life for her wonderful artwork in creating The Waldemar Twin Portrait display shown in today’s comic.) Happy Valentines Day everyone!
Don’t marry the person you think you can live with; marry only the individual you think you can’t live without.
Quotation from Dr. James C. Dobson
Flattery is never so agreeable as to our blind side. Commend a fool for his wit, or a knave for his honesty, and they will receive you into their bosoms.
Quotation from Henry Fielding

Older married couples who are interviewed on TV often finish each other’s sentences I notice. Perhaps there is something in it where they truly merge and become and act like one person. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all be like that. However, I do notice that more often than not, people begin to resemble their pets … that seems more common.
If my wife started to look like me… Well, I’d have to go.
Or maybe old couples get to be like two rocky towers leaning on each other. They’ve spent a long time grinding smooth spots where they touch and if one of them falls the other doesn’t stand alone long.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Someone had actually told me that long time ago. It can actually make you look like twins. Anyway, a Happy Valentine’s day to you too, my dear.
Look alike, perhaps, but if I ever start to look like a black man, I’m in trouble!
I hate the Fielding quote because I think it might be true
My husband tells me all the things I want to hear… and he believes them… we look a lot alike.
Yes, often a well-timed bit of well-thought-out piece of flattery can
do wonders for each party.
I saw a couple at the theatre on Friday night whom I noticed because they were actually dressed quite alike. Later in the night, it was announced they were celebrating 60 years of marriage. They looked alike, dressed alike and were very proud of their anniversary. Proof to your point…
Fluttery. I like that.
me too. I’m all for fluttery
Flattery is good when it is honest and not overbearing.
Hehe, love the transformation.
