I was very scared. I was walking towards the La Paz Waterfalls in Costa Rica when the horrible shaking started. The volcanic soil almost liquified as boulders and trees fell around me with terrible noise. Landslides changed the course of rivers -and human lives- on that beautiful warm afternoon.
More than 600 aftershocks occurred over the next three hours, about one every three-and-a-half minutes, as we waited for help. As the last light pensively seeped from a clouded sky, the rescue helicopter lifted our group towards safety. The pilot announced in my headphones that we were the last flight out. Hundreds of others were left stranded on that frightful mountain.

I may tease you about these sorta things a bit, but really that’s because i get worried about you going through monster tornado’s and deadly earthquakes. I’m just vary glad you always make it through unhurt.

Yes, you are safe but probably still terrified.
So glad you’re okay.

Dear god, Sera! I’m very glad you made it to safety.
Well, that will teach you to go to a country filled with foreigners, giant bugs, and earthquakes…
Glad you made it back.
I’m glad to know you’re safe, my friend.
This must have been quite an experience. I am happy to hear that you are save and sound; what an ending to an vacation that was determent to be fun! Well, I determen that you had a good time before all this happened.
If the miracle was that you survived – there was an other miracle today, about 150 people landing in the Hudson river, commercial airliner, they all survived.
Be well – Zee
So glad you are safe, Searaphine! I did so much flying for NBC. We never had to rescue anyone but we assisted the police and fire guys a lot (and got yelled at for it by our boss). Stay safe! lol!!!!
wow- that must have been pretty scary for you. reminded me of being in New York for the first time and witnessing 9/11.
perhaps you and I are very lucky people. disasters happen around us but we don’t succumb. so glad you made it home Sera xx
In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration.” safe and sound too.
Wishing you well
I’m so glad you are safe!
What a terrifying experience… you must have so many emotions going through you… I can’t even imagine what it must have been like.
Hi Sera
Welcome back! what a horrendous calamity and thankfully you are both safe and sufficiently recovered to make your usual interesting and fine graphic portrayal of such an amazing event together with what thoughts flashed by during the ordeal. I think everyone experiencing such an event would be very frightened.
Best wishes
Wow! Life can bring surprises in a second. Glad you’re safe. What are you thinking about?
Oh wow! Glad to hear you are fine. I bet it was scary!
I read about the earthquake when we were already in Lima. We didn`t get much info until recently.
Wow! How horrible!
I’m glad to know that you are well!
