Two things about me:
1. I want to act freely and uninhibited, but I am restrained by my need to have things on a rational, consistent and clearly-defined basis.
2. I try to escape from excessive demands on my meager reserves by adopting a defensive attitude in which I refuse to be committed, or to be involved in further unpleasantness.
Observations taken from The Psychology of Color, a test claiming that ‘Color Preferences Reveal Your Personality.’
Marriage has no guarantees. If that’s what you’re looking for, go live with a car battery.
Quotation from Erma Bombeck
A kind in glass and a cousin, a spectacle and nothing strange a single hurt color and an arrangement in a system to pointing. All this and not ordinary, not unordered in not resembling. The difference is spreading.
Poem by Gertrude Stein, Objects: A Carafe, That is a Blind Glass.

A need to have things on a rational, consistent and clearly-defined basis is consistent with many people’s perspective about who they are and what they stand for. Wants on the other hand come and go in many different colors and shapes which aren’t all necessarily meant to be realized or indeed best fit ones quid essential self. We can want to be free and uninhibithibted but we also cannot avoid the difficult and agonizing life choices, or the need to accept ourselves for whom we are, in the knowledge of our own unique strengths and weaknesses.
Best wishes

kd lang’s version is awesome, almost forgot about her… but she did a very good performance. It is to be found somewhere on uTube.
Jeff Buckley – well, I like his version too, absolutely. The rest of his stuff -?- not so sure.
What do you mean with speedo?
I’m either naked or else clad in a leather jacket (and other stuff that supplements for the absence of fur).
How many batteries (with warranty) does one need to feel secure? [...that was a brilliant quotation, no, not mine, the one you posted above].
Now, you are in CA, get your but off the loo and find your local voting station. You still got time. Even though I have personally cynical opinions about the present political system/climate – I managed to cast my vote on 10:30 on the East Coast. Maybe this time around these votes will be “historical”, no matter who you vote for. Don’t miss out!

The mood comes through… and I love the Bombeck quote.
And speaking of politics (he digresses), here’s another Erma:’ I haven’t trusted polls since I read that 62% of women had affairs during their lunch hour. I’ve never met a woman in my life who would give up lunch for sex. ‘
Have a great day friend!
Be happy, it is all that matters!

About me, the test says that I strongly resist outside influence and any interference with my freedom to make my own decisions and plans. That I long for tenderness and for sensitivity of feeling into which I can blend. Responsive to anything esthetic and tasteful.
I think I can agree with that.

You have such a cool blog! Love the cartoon!
I usually resist outside influence. Especially the ones who talk to me when I’m in the bathroom. I just can’t stand it!

Reminds me evlution theorists who claim that only part of human brain capacities are evolved in a very fast pace namely learning cause-and-effect relationships and reason, but that emotion and immediate-action drives are activities of more slowly evolving parts, and that men constantly struggle between reason and emotion, and that many reasonable things are not reasonable at all. In the end, the only reasonable thing to do is to die (can be read in two senses which both are true: metaphorical and literally). BTW Beautiful bathroom I want to have these tiles too, but it needs badly to be cleaned
