Trick or Treat
Smell my feet
Give me something good to eat!
On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.
Quotation from Halloween: Ancient Origins (History.com)
It is a magical interval when the mundane laws of time and space are temporarily suspended, and the Thin Veil between the worlds is lifted. Communicating with ancestors and departed loved ones is easy at this time, for they journey through this world on their way to the Summerlands.

Hmm, something good to eat … let me see … ah, I know … Spunow!!!!
Lol!
Isn’t a wonderful thought that even after passing over, we get to wander on to the Summerlands still. Broomsticks ahoy!

I went to a Halloween party this past weekend. I dressed up like a blogger. Everyone was terrified.
It teaches us that grown-up people have the same fears as children have, only their solutions are more complex. It teaches us as well that modern people have the same fears as pre-historic people have, only their solutions are more financial.

Very cool. I think that the history of Halloween has been lost because it has become such a commercial event. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Halloween sounds so much fun! It’s prolly much different than it was supposed to be, but I think children have a blast during this time of the year. And some adults as well haha

A canny witch; secrets out
Cast her spell to end the route
No more buying of new britches
Heed the spell of wise witches
Mend garments with cotton and thread
Save money, for cheap stocks instead
Witches said it aint goin to get worse
Coz I banished wicked witches old curse
Best wishes

I think some people are planning to go out trick or treating for groceries this year thanks to the old warlock, Paulson.
Yes, I too like the idea of the ‘Summerlands’. Perhaps we’ll all meet there someday.

sell every investment, then invest in joy
ok, or other way around – invest in joy, and sell useless paper investments.

I wouldn’t take any advice from bankers.
They don’t seem to know much!
Ask the kids at trick or treats.
They probably know better.

I’m no fun anymore. I don’t enjoy Halloween even half as much as I used to enjoy it. I can’t wait for G to get older and I can start dressing her up.

All Hallow’s Eve is great fun with a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old, take it from me!
I love your hair in the comic, btw. Dare I ask? …
Glad you are doing this now. I need more SL-related blogdom (as opposed to blogdrum) fun in my life.
