Whose goal in life is to be “average”? How many school children have been heard saying, ” When I grow up I want to be average.”? Let’s all hope the people selected to govern are all above average.
I know you have a crush on Palin, and you will defend her left and right, even though you don’t gel with her politics.
That’s fine.
Palin is not stupid, that is not the issue. She is funny, well spoken, and sometimes just cracks up in the middle of a sentence because she doesn’t have anything sensible to say or answer for.
I am not so much worried about her, except the fact that I still don’t know if she is able to do CPR, you know, getting the heart running again after it already has been found to be dead.
If McCaine and Palin win, McCaine will have a cardiac arrest in a year or so. Then Palin will take over and mumble to the dead body: “You look like you have been run-over by a reindeer, should have fired a shot first.” After that she will take over the Oval-office and amuse us daily on NBC and CNN.

Well, I agree with you in theory. Not agreeing with somebody politically does not make them stupid. There are a lot of people who I don’t agree with at all in terms of politics, but who I believe are incredibly smart. Sometimes smart in an evil kind of way, but still smart. However, Sarah Palin happens to come across to me as not intelligent enough for the job she is applying for. She might not be absolutely stupid, sure, she was an average student- but to me, that’s not good enough to become the second most powerful person of the US. For the position of VP, I would like to see someone who is sharp, quick, convincing and can think for themself. I have seen and read too many examples of Palin not being able to form proper sentences, not being able to answer questions, rattle down phrases she memorized or, and this was possibly the most disturbing moment for me, she was not even able to name one single magazine or newspaper she reads. How can you run for Vice President and not read at all? That does concern me a lot.

I think everyone would agree Plains is not stupid, far from it, but I think her apparent folksy style prefers generalized statements which avoid the obvious pitfalls of being caught out by a voracious press, evidenced at times by a propensity not to answer some questions or even at times to change the subject so as not to avoid answering as happened in the debate with Biden.
Others interpret this approach as disingenuous but I think its more a matter of politics since sadly in politics it’s suicidal to say you don’t have all of the answers or admit your are not well versed in some aspects but simply will do your best to bring yourself up to date.
