Nobody’s Perfect (but me)
When we ask “what can I do to make others like me more,”
what we’re really saying is “can I make myself a better person?”
Others can act as mirrors, but change comes from within.
Next time you feel like it’s just one of those days
When you just can’t seem to win
If things don’t turn out the way you plan,
Figure something else out
Don’t stay down, try again, yeah
Nobody’s Perfect, no no, nobody’s perfect
Lyrics from Hannah Montana, Nobody’s Perfect

Ah, Seraphine. I don’t think that I could like you any more than I already do… Unless you bought me scotch…
But seriously, the only people we should ever strive to change for are ourselves.

I think being very well liked or accepted or thought of as a winner is naively suggested as being successful and happy. I like the quote from Albert Schweitzer who said; Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
But on life he also said ‘The most valuable knowledge we can have is how to deal with disappointments’.
In life some will not like us for who we are.

As most times *giggle* we are talking to our inner Self
“Why don’t I like myself?”
btw If we can’t like ourselves - how can anyone else?
I think it’s all about attitude, towards Self and then Others (the mirrors)
Great subject and always relevant and actual!!!

I stopped worrying what people thought of me when i was in grade school. Sure helped out in junior high and high school. Kinda hard to upset someone who doesn’t give a crap what you think. I don’t worry about having a ton of fake fair weather friends. The good ones i have now are all i need.

Please don’t ever become perfect. Perfect is so boring.
I love people who have peace in themselves. If you like yourself, others will too.

How did they do that in elementary school? If you like me, I will like YOU!
In retrospect, I actually suffered from that kind of stupid peer pressure.
Wait until you get to be my age Sera, then you don’t give a flying fuck who likes you or not - well, almost …

I’ve often wondered why it is always ‘friends’ who tell you things you might prefer not knowing.

Nobody is perfect! Thank God! Can you imagine how boring would be a perfect person? Well if the person is perfect, can it be boring?
