The Kennedy assassination is easy to explain. Just look at his last few speeches. He wanted to change the system. He was trying to decentralize the power of the government and curb the powers available to the F.B.I. and C.I.A. You just don’t mess with those guys. He saw where we were headed and wanted to put the brakes on. Too bad he didn’t succeed.

Love the John Updike quote. Gee i wonder which we are seeing now? When it comes to our government, and i don’t just mean Republicans or Democrats, i mean the whole system, common sense has become extremely uncommon.

I don’t want t sound like a conspiracy freak, but having lived for years in lamentable Dallas, I was in Dealey Plaza more than I care to admit and there was certainly a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy. I ask myself, ‘What could there possibly be to gain from withholding information about this senseless murder? Why is Marilyn Monroe’s FBI file still censored? And why haven’t we been told about the 1948 event here in New Mexico?” Conspiracies aside, I was also in Texas for the boondoggle of The Superconducting Super Collider project that wasted millions when we could have solar power by now.I’m an optimistic guy, but when it comes to the government they manage to ruin anything worthwhile. I don’t expect anything from them–except to stay out of my life. And I state that because we can do so much more on a community level as I am doing. Great post, Seraphine and a cute animation. Love the shoes too As the guy who sold me my last guitar said to me as he stuck his head in the practice room while I I was playing:. “Rolling Stones, baby!” :D)
