I have told this story many times before, but I will keep telling it, and I don’t care.
Right before my first date with the man who would become That Man of Mine, I saw a bright twinkle in the sky and said, “Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight,” and then I said, “Please let him be the one.”
Then I looked again.
And saw I had wished on a control tower.
I maintain that this is the reason that, although he did turn out to be the one, he still, to this day, cannot shop for bedsheets without a GPS and a police backup.
