Tornado Part 3: Shelter
It’s freaking hot under those mattresses, even at 10:30 at night.
Someone said my ears would pop from the tornado pressure.
We already knew it had destroyed nearby Chapman, Kansas.
Now it was here in Manhattan, still on the ground.
Everyone had their cellphones turned on.
“It’s in the SW Miller Ranch area.”
“The True Value store is gone.” Gone?
It’s on campus. “It hit Fiedler Hall.”
Why would anyone attend a cheerleading camp in Kansas?

Without reading the accompanying text, I would be like, great, a tornado’s coming and these people decide to have a slumber party? How cool is that?? I would’ve been stressed.

Same here, for a second I thought it was you in the pictures and then realized there were no way you would be blond. I just can’t picture you as a blond.
Well, I guess you can come back home. Your Kansas experience is completed isn’t it?
