   I hate the fact that I have to wear glasses! It took me quite a while to accept it and to begin wearing them. Even now there are times I don’t wear them.

   I’ve been wearing glasses since forever. My eyesight is really bad, sadly, and I’m not a candidate for laser surgery. I do wear my glasses, but it tends to become cumbersome because they’re so heavy, despite the fact that I already have them thinned out. Contact lenses are my best friend.

   I’ve always considered my nearsightedness a great blessing. I’ve never noticed blemishes or wrinkles and the glasses do work for driving or going to the movies.
