Overflow Error: Scaling the Application
What do you trust more: Your mind or your heart?
Everyone says to “follow your heart” as if it’s more
reliable than the mind. But doesn’t the heart play
tricks on us, just like the mind does? What’s reliable?
What is an Overflow Error? (webopedia.com)
“A kind heart he hath.
A woman would run through fire and water for such a kind heart.”
Quotation from William Shakespeare, The Merry Wives of Windsor

Eidur. Why do I suspect, when there is a choice between what the heart tells someone
or the what the mind says, that most people make the wrong “kick their asses” decision?
Maybe Luck is the foundation of all successful relationships, rather than choice. LoL.

And who (or what) is the I who trusts or doesn’t trust?
Ass-kicking has never worked for me. I advocate negotiated agreements.

I agree with the negotiated agreements. Consensus rule rather than majority rule.
And what about the gut? Gut feelings mean alot to me. I was told that the intestines really are an important part of your nervous system and many emotions can come from there. Could that be true?

Now there is a tough one. Perhaps one should only listen when they are both leading toward the same thing…

Hmm. None of them are. And even if they agree (such rare occasions! ;)) I tend to do the opposite of what they agree upon. What decides then? Tried reading Spinoza, but understanding - more or less - why you do something, does not stop you from doing it. (Or not doing it.)
Guess it’s just switching between the heart and the mind and whatever else decides, and hoping you gambled on the right advisory board.. euhm organ?

Oh shit, this wasn’t the question I wanted to land in my mind this night. Not in this “kicking in their asses” moment.
