Hell Week, Part 4: Unmasking Wrath

It’s hard for me to feel anger today, because
every year I send my mother flowers and a fruit
basket for May Day, and she’s not here anymore.

Anger Management: What Are You So Angry About? (Mayo Clinic)
If God Smites, Why Can’t We? (Beliefnet.com)

“Not with wrath do we kill, but with laughter.
Come, let us kill the spirit of gravity!”

Quotation from Friedrich Nietzsche,
Sämtliche Werke: Kritische Studienausgabe

“…Where sits our sulky, sullen dame,
Gathering her brows like gathering storm,
Nursing her wrath to keep it warm.”

Poem by Robert Burns, Tam o’ Shanter

    Great post, Seraphine. Hugs.

Ahhh… anger. I give in to it too much. I never lash out at others (not really), and instead, implode from within. I need to find a good outlet.

    goooss..fra….baaaaa

Anger is cheap passion, not worth the effort. Hate or Love might be different. They originate from the same inner source but inevitably take alternate directions. But at least they are expensive and complicated. That’s a bonus.
Aspirin is good to combat anger. It thins thee blood to the degree that it will not bother your brain anymore. Somebody said it is also is useful to combat heart-attacks.
The little I know of you, anger is not your true style. So forget about it.

What’s that Nietzsche thing all about? Do you tame his native tongue? I fell asleep when I was 20 reading some “Uebermensch” stuff.
The little essay of Wladimir Solovieffs “Antichrist” was more helpful to me at that time. A concise prediction of the Bush area, written 100 years ago.

So there you go, an other day - an other journey.
Get rid of that anger thing tough. We accumulate enough of those kind of emotions for no good reason whatsoever.
Let ’s be a rejuvenated bunch of rebells instead, catching the horizon before the dawn.

For me anger is an in the moment thing. I feel it, vent it, and then im over it. I don’t let things go long enough to let them add up to a major blow up. Family however is another matter hehe. You are right though anger is never pretty. If it was can you imagine how many pissed off people would be in this country with its obsession for looking good?

Anger is awesome. Cheap passion as much as it is, its primal. Like drum beats in the rainforest, and biting the heads off of fish from a river you’re wading in nekkid. I think every one needs a little now and then. Gets the blood pumpin.

  7. susan Says:

The problem with anger is that it’s usually misdirected.

  8. Eidur Says:

    I agree with susan 100%
