Hell Week, Part 3: Why I’m a Glutton
Mortal sins are done willfully and deliberately.
Gluttony is defined as lack of self-control.
But if I lack self-control, I’ll argue in Hell,
can I truly sin deliberately? It’s all so unfair.

“Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.”
Quotation from Proverbs 23:2
“Gluttony is an emotional escape, a sign something is eating us.”

the quote from DeVries is soooo true…
I’d better eat some more Nutella to forget about this!

Good Morning Seraphine: And for God sakes, let me come over and untie you from this useless fate. I suggest that you Pamper Yourself at the nearest salon immediately with a massage, a nail job, and a facial for half a day. Then dress up with friends and go out for a Martini and recall hysterical moments. See? Who needs Dr. Phil with me around, eh?

Gluttony is definitely the sin for me.

knotty gluttony on rough knotty floors?
must hell continue forever?
this rope is good for my boat, not for your wrists. lets untie them and use it there.
after you did your pampering sessions, had your martini and such, we’ll go out for an evening sail

Seraph,
Thought I’d let you know that I’ve been a glutton for catching my life up and now I’m trying to get WH back on track!
Cheers, babe.

We all gluttons to some extent and gluttons for punishment of our own making but I agree with Zee that the breeze at your back and the sounds of lapping water when sailing exemplify life’s simple enduring pleasures of priceless luxury.
Best wishes

you are amusing Lindsay in your own stoic ways. That is what I like about you. Now run and take care about your wife.

OK Sera - break the secret, the magic code. What is it you use for you graphs?
If you don’t tell me, I will entwine the rope from my sailboat and cuff your hands once again, maintain that low pampering mode for a few days. Suffer.
It does not have to be so - whatever, stay in touch.
You know I love you, so don’t read me wrong.

I was going to ask if you were picturing being a glutton for punishment but I see Lindsay already did. I think we simply need to take notice of how well off we truly are, be grateful and try to give some back when we can.
Best wishes for the fashion show.
