Being Alone is the End of the World

Is it possible to bottle Happiness for later?
Perhaps you could share some with me?
I won’t worry too much about the backwash;
Happiness drool is harmless.

“Why do the birds go on singing
Why do the stars glow above
Don’t they know it’s the end of the world
It ended when I lost your love”

Song by Skeeter Davis, End Of The World

“It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.”

Song by R.E.M., It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)

I am sorry Sera but I do think that bottled happiness loses its taste soon… now matter how much hard you “cork” it.
It’s just like champagne left open or saved for the next day. Not really the same thing…
So my advice is… do not get worry to get drunk from time to time and drink that cup of happiness more when you can… You’ll never regret the choice. And you can always “bottle” sweet memories for the days to come.

    P.S.
I’d share any feeling you’d like more with you.

I dunno. I think we only really appreciate happiness totally when we’ve been through the other side of things as well. Cliche? Totally - but I think it’s true.

I don’t think that happiness can be bottled for later consumption. I think that it’s there, or it’s not. I think happiness is like the wind. It comes, it goes, some days it’s felt more than other days, and although you can’t see it, you know that it’s there and that it will come back.

It’s true; as much as we wish it wasn’t happiness is a transient thing that comes and goes.

Being alone is not the end of the world, sometimes it is just the beginning!

A primary candidate of universal interest, who was fascinated by the stars must be Galileo who composed this little poem when refuting the Aristotelian notion of an unchanging celestial sphere.

No lower than the other stars it lies,
and does not move in ways around,
Than all fixed stars-nor change in sign or size.
All of this is proved on purest reason’s ground:
It has no parallax for us on Earth
By reason of the sky’s enormous girth.

The Gnostics said there is a sliver of light in us that longs to return to its source. That may explain that hollowness we feel even at our happiest moments.

I take each day one at a time. Each evening is the end of a world and each morning is the beginning of a new one when we enjoy the little things. I enjoyed your clip. I agree that, when I look at the stars, I realize how small I am, but also how important I am to the universe around me.
