I don’t think I have ever been given a pet name. Is that the same thing as a nickname?
Well… when I was in junior high, some of the friends used to call me “pickles” because of my unusual liking for pickles. Does that count?

I was gonna say I don’t have a pet name, but then I realized that just last week, my husband called me “cupcake” for no apparent reason. I laughed so hard when he said it, that I think it may have stuck. He called me cupcake again three or four times after that. It isn’t quite as funny anymore, but I don’t mind it.
Thanks for explaining to me the differences between nicknames and pet names. Okay… so my husband calls me “baby cakes” sometimes to piss me off. It gives me the cooties though. I hate it!
I love pet names! I was just talking about pet names with my mom the other day, and she got all bummed out because she and my dad have never had nicknames. I’ll have to fwd her that corny names link.
