Paint It Black by Janet Fitch

It’s a very dark novel about grieving and finding
the strength to recover. Janet Fitch also wrote
White Oleander, which was made into a movie.

“Grief can take care of itself, but to get the full value
of a joy you must have somebody to divide it with.”
Quotation from Mark Twain, Following the Equator

There is beauty in everything. It’s just waiting to be found.

It’s relative. It’s something we learn to appreciate when faced with its opposite.

At first I thought you was writing about Rolling Stones and the song “Paint it black” …I also have heard that we don’t get more sorrow then we can handle… I wonder if that really is true ;-)

Twains words are so true! Your work here is so cool!

Using a quote from Mark Twain is appropriate, his humor and wit was infectious and covered the gloom he experienced. It was a failed business venture that sent him broke so he embarked on a worldwide lecture tour of India, Australia and South Africa to pay off all his debt.

In the highly entertaining book “The wayward Tourist” about the Australian leg of the tour – he declares that God made Sydney Harbor, it was so beautiful and still is, but Satan made Sydney, and of our history, oh such beautiful lies!
    Best wishes
