Anna-Lys. A Witch Hazel sounds very cool.
Fack. If they are going to dig me back up, I'm not going.
GW. Pollenation is a great idea.
October. Nature converts us to energy. I believe that's how life recycles.
Roo. Is it possible to splice some flowering cherry branches onto a red oak?
Zb0y. Tall is always subject to perspective.

Always an idea I've liked: bury me in a burlap sack, and plant a tree over my corpse. Let the tree use it -- I certainly won't need it at that point. I think maybe one of those American Chestnut trees they've engineered to be resistant to the blight, might be nice.

What tree would you be, Sera?

I think I would like to be something edible. Not to be gross, just to contribute to the food chain. I would like to grow back up as nice grass and have some cows chew on me for a while, or to be a fruit tree, or even to be flowers where a honeybee might get some pollen or nectar.

People don't stay buried in graveyards forever; I'm not sure what the exact time limit is, but humans remains stay inhumed only long enough for the little worms to do their work.

When all that's left is bones, the remains are moved into a mausoleum, or a crypt. The dead outnumber the living by far to much, so the real estate has to be balanced out accordingly if we're to avoid a vast desert of markers for the fallen.

I love that idea, too. I feel we should return to nature once we die.
