Etiquette 101: Managing Expectations

Years ago, I went on a blind date. He pissed me off by making
a vomit gesture behind my back in front of his friends. He kept
telling me to smile, but I made him take me home after that.

“… I wanted to punish myself as thoroughly as I could. I’d decided to have a vasectomy, but that wasn’t enough: I wanted my last potent seed to be spent in a dead body. I made arrangements to have sex with a cadaver. I was bodily thrown out of several sex shops before meeting a man who set me up with a mortician’s assistant in a Mexican border town…”
Quoted from John Duncan, Blind Date

    I hate blind dates.
I would have killed him for less, Sera.
    *hugs*

  2. Bettina

I think I would rather die than go on a blind date. Glad I don’t need to make that choice though.

As Eidur said: I would kill him for less.

  4. The Wife

Ew, blind dates suck. Thankfully, I’m outta the dating pool.

    Hey, what’s with You girrrrrls.
I would love to have an encounter with a blind man,
as long as he can do magic with his stick and wisper
softly with his whiskey-voice, in my ears that I am
the prettiest he have ever have seen ;-)

Thanks for Your nice comment about sharing!!!!

hi, i like this comic book page… great humour and style. Glad to see your work today. I have never been on a blind date, why not? Give everybody a chance. Was that guy sick or the presenter forgot to wear glasses? When you present somebody, the presenter of the blind date is also responsible.

What an ASSS!! I had one guy try to do a #2 in my bathroom on the first date…with the door open! haha

Well…I’ve never been on a blind date. And I’d be terribly nervous upon meeting them, and if they kept pressuring me to smile it’d just make me want to smile less. Actually people I’m not dating that pressure me to smile piss me off. Random bastardo’s I say.

He didn’t deserve you at all, and I hope he looks back on this episode of his life and realizes how badly he screwed himself by being an utter child.

Did he notice that you noticed it? If he noticed, he should be so ashamed that he should have paid a taxi to drive you home, with 1000 apologies, and saying that he wouldn’t be worth driving you home. But this kind of people won’t do that just because they are that way, otherwise he wouldn’t have acted the way he did. The disgusting quotation must express the way you felt.
