I Burned Dinner
Liquid fabric softener helps remove burned food from
a pan. If it’s glass, you can also use bleach, but wear
an old tee or you’ll make spots on your clothes like I did.
“One person cooking at home cannot pay attention to too many
things. If a woman makes three dishes, she will get nervous on
the first, the second will suffer and the third will be a disaster.”

Fill pan 3/4 full with water and place it on the stove. Stir in a bit of Dawn, and remove from fire just before a boil, Rinse and dry. Pop back up stouffer’s frozen lasagna in the microwave for 10 min, and pretend it never happened.
I have it down to a routine.

Jenny. I love how you have a routine. But how do you
expain to people after you’ve burned the Dawn too?

Get yourself a househusband/wife (whichever way you swing) and not worry about it. It’s what worked for me, I can’t remember the last time I was forced to put someone through my cleaning skills.
I’m actually a fairly adept cook, but a problematic lack of energy for anything other than my day job and my comic make that difficult.

Hey, you cook like I do! BUt you have much more beautiful fingernails (if those are yours). My kids gave me a cookbook for my birthday last August. The pictures are fantastic, but I haven’t actually gotten to using it to cook yet…

Oh gosh, this has happened to me way too many times. If it gets left in the oven, I am for sure going to be onto something else and forget all about it. I also leave my clothes in the basement dryer of my apartment building if I don’t set the timer. Sometimes it days before I remember that I was doing laundry. are those your nails in the pic on your blog? I love the striped polish job!

Great one! I like to cook, but I never have time to do it, I don’t want to cook in a rush, it would be a disaster!

I made *Spartan* a lovely dessert once. We were staying at a very posh hotel for a romantic getaway. I packed a little picnic - brie and fruit, some wine. THEN dessert. My famous worms in dirt.
He… uh… never requested that I make it again. No idea why. LOL
(gummi worms and oreo crumbs mixed with chocolate pudding *wink wink*)

Alex. Usually if it’s burnt, we still eat it. That’s the hilarious part.
Carolina. I’m the opposite, the shorter the cooking time, the better.
CountryGirl. No, they’re not my nails.
Funny Girl. LOVE the worms in dirt recipe. It’s real!
Gary. No, they’re not my nails.
Jenny. I love your routine (& that one can’t work a microwave without a timer).
Rags. Fast food rocks… and sometimes feels like it too.
R.T. You’re lazy when you’re not working on something.
Callie, Esteban, Jen. Hugs and thank you all for your comments. Ouf.

BTW Is it “burnt” or “burned”?
