It's not easy to keep it passionate many years! The most important thing is to take care of yourselt!
Something that works for me is to bring new and refreshing things to the relationship.

OK, so what? As long as the decline in passion doesn't lead to unhappiness... Man isn't shaped to be passionate all the time, that's what I think. BTW good graphics again, I keep wondering how you do that Sera!

Hello! I am new to your site via Michele! Please know this is a cool site and I shall be adding you to my Blogroll! Since I've only just relocated to Arizona, I am temporarily awaiting pending news of a divorce from the camps of Demi Moore or Brooke Shields (among many others) to "throw my hat into the ring" :D))! But I've enjoyed reading the others here on chemical addictions!

Thank you Lindsaylobe. You became the 2,000th post
on my comic blog, and I'm extremely pleased (and ironically
disappointed) that it's cause wasn't "chemical addiction."
Every one of my readers is special, and I'm sure there
must be a place in comic heaven filled with seventy beautiful
and pure sturgeons for everyone who comments here. Hugs.

I thnk love is unquantifiable.

As a happily married person, of nearly 40 years, (not to be said in any senses of superiority or self aggrandisement) but to try and reflect on why I should be in such a fortunate position as is the case of many of my dear friends I can only say it appears to us this not due to a chemical addiction, but primarily due to a willingness of both parities to continually adapt to the circumstances that befall us.

It maybe be that the immediacy of addictive chemistry binds us together initially but I believe that such immediacy will fade over time as we develope differently. So in sense you remarry that same person as they change, to adapt. I doubt that that same initial chemistry exists throughout our life; rather it requires an a adaption of love, akin to a tree that is nourished by it's new roots.

Those new roots have the same underlying chemistry that produces the sap, but is from further away as thec tree grows, required to adapt to the changing seasons of life.

Thi s is not easy and in many cases it is not the fault of either party as somtimes ther gap is just too large for the tree to survive the ravages of the new seasaon, given the ever changing ferocity of changing seasons.

Best wishes
