He is my Master and i am slave.
He is my Master and i am slave.
It’s a false and dangerous bargain
because there is no one to
challenge Him to be better but me.
“Do not forget I come with the price of the cup.”
Quoted from John Norman, Explorers of Gor
“Obvious and inexorable oppression that cannot be
overcome does not give rise to revolt but to submission.”
Quotation from Simone Weil

submission-domination are bound to trust, loyalty, love…

Isn’t the master a slave to the slave also?

Enslavement is curtailment of freedom; its masters are enslaved within that which creates it. Best wishes

Interesting as always Sera. Not to be trite, but we’re all slaves to some degree to something - even if it is love and justice.
Or our next breath.
Hey, that’s not trite after all!

I tend to agree, but am not sure yet. I find the quote of Simone Weil quite alarming. This morning I read a possible explanation of the willingness of the Jewish people in a Polish city to let themselves massacre (they had to because the Nazis had machine guns) without any panic or attempts in despair: it was their being totally surprised and perplex. The article said that Spinoza already concludedfrom strict reasoning in his “Ethics” that perplexity and feeling overwhelmed by the power of others prevents rational thinking. Compare also the response of people token hostage, who get sympathy for their hostage-takers. In my opinion Jesus Christ is the archetype of the slave who became master, or became slave just thanks to his being the master. You keep one’s mind working Sera!
