Great work! That box will fuel my nightmare if I need one tonight.

Always open the bathroom door with a paper towel when exiting. Most of the yuckies are on the knob from those who don’t wash. Of course I have a cold today, so why should I give advice…

I had a box I could hide in at work. Then it got taken away. Along with my break time. So I only have my smile to eat and air to snack on. Also, I’ve been working in retail around foodstuffs for almost 13yrs and I freak out if I am unable to wash my hands after going into the nasty bathroom and touching all the surfaces that gross people touch. Ugh. Yay for bleach! (and all of its DNA damaging side effects)

I really try not to use public restrooms but my goodness, not wash my hands ewwwww. I hhave to carry hand sanitizer with me at all times. Thanks for the comment Great blog/website

I blame society, as usual. Creating a well adjusted, law-abiding individual who won’t go on murderous rampages starts in the home, with the little ‘one percenters’ - things which aren’t especially big or important in themselves, but add up to a whole system of values and morals to guide us through larger issues.

But, seeing as though people are arses and won’t raise kids the way they should - business idea! Design public toilets differently, so that each cubicle has a self locking mechanism which locks when the toilet has been used (you’d need some sort of sensor for men standing up) and doesn’t unlock until the toilet’s been flushed and the sink (and soap!) have been used.

Of course, counter-cultural Rebels Without An Opposable Thumb(tm) will inevitably just flush the toilet, discharge soap and water into the sink wiithout actually scrubbing then leave some youthful artwork on the door on their way out. That’s where we need riot police in every public bathroom.

who are these people that dont’ wash their hands? i hope i don’t know any of them.

i am not gonna act all self righteous and say “people can be gross and disgusting” Truth is, sometimes i am too lazy to slide my hands under a water faucet. i figure that not washing my hands is my way of conserving precious water. It is my way of going green. ; )

Bacteria - what other bugs are you afraid of?
I miss paper towels at Interstate truck-stops, that’s a fact.
It is one reason to avoid them, and if the depressing necessity does still come alive, I skip washing my hands and go in and out there as fast as I can.
After all, I only touched my own environment…
Coming home, time to take a shower.

P.S. a small amount of bacteria can go a long way - to trigger and strengthen your own immune system.
It is cunning to observe that most involuntary infections take place in hospitals where every door knob gets disinfected thrice daily. I’m not solely talking about the patiens, but the nurses and other personnel.
But this train of thought was not the purpose of your post. But I couldn’t resist, so there.
