R.T. You’re right, you don’t know what you get from someone
until you finger the pull-tab and take a drink. The loud flavors
like bitter beers or too-sweet grape sodas are ok once in a
while, but I prefer hot sweetened coffee or english black tea
with cream for every day.

I suppose the comparison with humanoids would be “Why didn’t I ever notice that in her before?” I read a book recently where it was so obvious that the characters who should be loving each other were too familiar as friends to see it.
