Eating Your Own Fire (when nobody else will)
It’s impossible to understand another person completely.
The best we can do is trust they won’t disappoint us by
making us eat our own fire when we’re hungry for more.
“Let fall thy blade on vulnerable crests.
I bear a charmed life, which must not yield,
To one of woman born.”
Quotation from Wm. Shakespeare, Macbeth

Meaning is always subjective. It’s based on personal experience from environmental (and sometimes genetic) factors. People who give you crap about your comics probably enjoy furry hentai or some crap - or maybe they bask in the ever lasting glory of Mazda, the God of Zoroastrianism. Who knows.
There is no such thing as objective meaning.
Also, it will be ironic if I’ve understood the meaning of this comic correctly. Well, ironic in it’s commonly accepted form, anyways. Don’t get me started on that

Yes, I think I understand what you mean. One of these nights I had a dream in which I met somebody I never met before. He told me: “don’t you remember we went to … and visited …?” And in the dream I could remember having experienced it, at once it was clear, yes, we were together at that time and place, and I remembered clearly who he was. But after wakening up I was surprised that in “real life” 1. I didn’t know the person, and 2. we never went there visiting …
The human brain is full of riddles for ourselves, let alone we easily understand what other people mean. Yet many people think they understand themselves and others, and others HAVE TO understand what they mean, or else… This is a cause of much misery in the world.

I agree with Erik…
And Sera, yes often your comics sound so “cryptic” to me… But probably that’s why I like them. And when I do not have something to say, I just avoid commenting
Keep up with the great work!

Heehee…skittles.
One of the things I like the most about your comics is that you encourage people to think a little bit. I don’t see anything wrong with that =)

*phew* I am not the only one. And even better than that, you find it OK that I just let my mind go and find some meaning free of the pressure that it is the same as yours and other reader’s.

The beauty of your comics…..just like poetry, is the emotions that they generate. The meaning is important but not as important as what they create to your readers. They touches us in different ways, and always makes me feel good!
PS, trows a skittle at you,

sometimes what I don’t know and don’t understand scares especially about the people your closet to.
