am i acceptable?
admit it… You think there is life unworthy of life.
it’s the majority opinion on this dark forsaken planet.
“deeds cannot dream what dreams can do
time is a tree (this life one leaf)
but love is the sky and i am for you
just so long and long enough”
from the poem by e.e. cummings, as freedom is a breakfast food

I gotta say, Sera, that’s fairly dark, even for you.
Fuck other peoples expectations, live for yourself and the people you love. Similarly, any expectations you have of yourself are born of other peoples opinions and values. If something really means enough to you personally, you’ll adhere to it and live up to it - if you don’t, well, there’s a reason our boy Jesus got up on that cross, like it or no.
And even though I’m classed as right-wing, I actually hold all life as worthy of living. I think it does a lot of people an injustice when you throw out a line like that. Death is unavoidable, and sometimes we have to put our own survival ahead of others (this includes the abortion debate, unfortunately) but at the end of the day, all life is worthy of life.
Except cockroaches, a pox on those damned things and their kin.

You will *never* meet someones expectations. and trying to will only reek more havoc upon you. Live in the expectancy that Life is worth living because YOU live in it and are of it. You are the only one that matters.

Great graphics you used again! Your thoughts are brainpains, each time I think: what does it mean, what does she mean and how shall I respond? This time Sera has the feeling of guilt, but guilt of what? Of being a fly caught with honey instead of vinegar? Sera, be yourself, you’re a great artist and it’s you who catches so many people not with something sweet or acid but with your own imagination, thank you, Lord for all this! (Having written this I doubt whether I gave the right answer or an answer you already knew - see, I’m a fly and she caught me with the honey of her drawings

This is beautiful reflection.
It reminds me of a well known hymn I have sung many times –here is extract~I hope you like it
Come as you are, ~that’s how I want you
Come as you are, feel quite at home
Close to my heart, loved and forgiven
Come as you are, why stand alone?
No need to fear, ~love sets no limits
No need to fear, love ever ends
Don’t run away, shamed and disheartened
Rest in my love, trust me gain
Come as you are, ~ that’s how I love you
Come as you are, trust me gain
Nothing can change the love that I bear you
All will be well, just come as you are

i think that’s the Virgin of Guadelupe at the edge of your picture. an interesting Gnostic story about our Ultimate Mother (also known as Sofia - wisdom) is that she left Heaven following a spark of light in the darkness. thus, the world began and eventually Sofia found her way home bringing all the little sparks with her.
you are as wise as you are lovely, Sera

Callie. But I expect certain things from others too! I value constancy.
Erik. There is no right answer. I love hearing your reaction though.
Fack. I’ve seen beautiful cockroaches in Hawaii, though I was afraid to touch them.
Kira. Hugs. You’re amazing too.
Lindsaylobe. Lovely hymn. (I unsuccessfully tried on iTunes to find Deidre Brown).
Susan. I am floored. That is indeed the Virgin of Guadelupe!!! Great story too. Thank you.
