I make myself cry more than anyone else does.
“But I would cry,
rooted into the wall that
was once my mother,
if I could remember how
and if I had the tears.”
from Anne Sexton’s “Self in 1958.â€

Very interesting thoughts. We all need to learn to live with ourselves and our personal afflictions.
I think I do that too. Furthermore, because I know I’m allowing my mind to boss myself into low expectations and preparation for disappointment, I call it being a devil’s advocate to myself … which is sort of fulfilling the job requirement of the demon bit.
That is a gift. One that my oh-so-proper English and Scottish background doesn’t easily encourage. I probably dress my demons up in tweed and have tea with them, hoping they won’t really introduce themselves.
You’re very interesting.
excellent post sera… nice work… keep going…
you speak the truth!
lovely entry. I think that it is nice that you are self aware.
Me too, my own demons are sympatic ;o)))))
J’aime autant le démon que je suis que l’ange !!!!
