The Unwanted List
It’s the week before Christmas, and Santa looks weary.
It puts everything in focus; you can’t make a Christmas
list without first knowing what it is you don’t want.
“It is like any other work of art.
It is and never can be changed.
Behind everything there is always
The unknown unwanted life.”
Quotation from Randall Jarrell, The Orient Express

I learn a lot of English (American?) from your comics, now I looked up “tummy tuck pants”, well Seraphine if you look like your Barbie-shaped comic star your created I don’t think you need them. and if you would “need” them as you are in real life, I wouldn’t be pleased if some one gave it but would prefer to buy them myself. As for the ordinary life: nothing more unusual than ordinary!! Please give me an ordinary life!!

I think I might want tummy tuck pants but I’d rather just get to a place where I wouldn’t RATHER have mashed potatoes.

funny toughts…;)
Did you read the blookThe Secret?
The writer says that we must not focus our minds in things that we dont want, because
our mind forget about the “not” and what we dont want can become what it happens for real…so change your list, according to him, to what you want….
Do you believe in that?

I thought receiving socks as a gift was less than ideal, can’t imagine someone giving tummy tuck pants for a present, LOL, too funny, Sera! (In a sad, I feel your pain, sort of way, I mean, heh)
And though you might not have ever had it, I might suggest you add to your list my step-mom’s lasagne. Trust me, I’ve had it and you do not want it. In fact, for Thanksgiving this year, my family was pretty much most thankful we were not having her lasagne. I think that sentiment carries over to the Christmas season without saying.
Good luck with your list!

I leave a list on the kitchen message board each year. I don’t really need anything and don’t covet anything that could be purchased, so I usually list a few books and mention than I like single malt whisky. Smoked salmon, dark chocolate and good cheese are welcomed too.
I want love mostly… in the universal way and in the one in front of me to hug way.

I try to make a list every year, but I can never figure out what I really, truly want until after christmas. Maybe I should start making lists a year in advance…

I love your unwanted list!

My unwanted list has pretty much to do with the present moment, oh well.. :-S Let’s hope at least one of the big things I don’t want for Christmas won’t keep happening next year.
Have a nice weekend!
