The Season of Dreams
I wish I could dream within a dream so I
could maintain the buffer between me and me.
“Dreams have a poetic integrity and truth.”
Quotation from Ralph Waldo Emerson, Demonology

I mentioned how I dream of insects when I’m stressed. I wonder if having dreamt of Semi-Homemade Sandra Lee the other night qualifies as dreaming of annoying bugs.

I am not a psychologist (nor a psycho ;)… Without going further in details, I’d just like to state here that dreams saved my life a couple of times. I learned to “listen” to my dreams, and I like this way of “being in touch” with the inner part of myself.
It’s a pity that growing older I do dream less and less…

Pleasant dreams are always welcomed, but i hate nightmares! th only good part about nightmares is when you wake up and see that it’s not real! I do dream at times, not all that often, sometimes i even dream and don’t remember.

I dream of food and especially sweets and chocolate when I’m on a hard diet.. :-S
And since I was a kid, I had some dreams I am trying to run away of something harmful , but I can’t move, very terrifying..that’s what I can remember now.

The only difference between dreaming consciousness and awake is there’s no outside stimulation between us and our thoughts. It can get scary because our subconscious enjoys some free association time and occasionally finds paths we’d rather not understand.
One time when I was very jealous, yet trying to be cool, I dreamed happily about a new dress and when I put it on and looked in the mirror the girl I hated was smiling out at me. It was a shock but a good lesson too.

Dreams are my way to escape reality, they allow me to wish of a better place and also give me a direction in my life. There is a thin line between life and dreams, between reality and goiing mad, but without them the world would be at a stand still.
Dreams and imagination are the only limits to make this world a better place.
I only wish that more people would try to live there dreams!

I used to dream of shoes quite a bit. I think even in my subconscious I’ve all but given up on a closet full of fabulous shoes. A few days ago I dreamed that our oil tank kept draining and I couldn’t figure out where it was all going.

I have vivid dreams frequently, always interesting and sometimes disturbing. In the very best dreams I fly (and it’s wonderful). In the worst I witness harm to people I love and wake feeling the feeling I would have if it were in this world.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain
(Perhaps different kind of dreams, but I like the quote…)

Eidur. Interesting comment about listening to your dreams. That’s courageous.
Gary. I’ve never dreamed of flying. I’m afraid of falling.
GolfWidow. You have to read her blog to understand.
Kalai. Snakes are interesting, but outdoor snakes scare me.
Kathie. You dreamed of shoes in your sleep? I’m jealous.
North. I love your positive attitude. Hugs.
Romeika. Dreaming of food is non-fattening. I hope.
Stunner. I forget dreams too. For a while I kept paper by the bed to help me remember.
Susan. Jealousy used to drive me crazy mad. I’m better with it now.

I dream all the time, and most often they are lucid dreams–the kind when you are aware you are dreaming. I sometimes try to control the dreams, but it’s also fun to just let them roll and ask questions to the “dream people.” I like best the dreams when I see someone who I miss, but it’s a bittersweet wake up realizing they’re not there in the morning.

Lilibeth. When I have “lucid dreams” all night, I don’t feel I’ve slept well. It’s like being half awake. The best dreams happen in the hour or two before I wake up. I’ve never asked a “dream person” a question unless it’s an erotic dream. I’ve dreamed of Chase, and it’s painfully sweet to wake up without her. Hugs. We could be dream sisters! LOL.

I don’t dream a lot, but I like to have good dreams. I really hate bad dreams, when i have a bad dream my next day will not be so good!
