It's the age of communication Sera... Long ago, a song I loved so much sang
"Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say"
But back in the day, cell phones didn't even existed (at least not in italy :P).
I guess that all the chances to "communicate" of our modern life has made quiet desperation a "passè" thing.
Btw, I blame desperate housewives too (and the L word, and Dr House, and...)

And phones... I don't know... I don't use my for phoning... it is more internet in my pocket that occasionally can be used for talking too.

Yes, not only is the interior world not being nurtured, it's being encouraged to fly out into the public square. We haven't caught up to technology on this one yet.

I like a little quiet desperation in my life by the way. It sweetens the single malt and brings the mountains into sharp relief.

Eidur. Everyone has a voice, yet few have something to say. Hugs.
Dandellion. I'm happy you came to my party! Hugs.
Gary. At least desperation and beautiful mountains aren't boring.
Jacky. Lol, express yourself.
Kalai. Every generation makes their own mistakes.
Rags. Thank you! Hugs.
